Southern Dalmatia > Orebić - peninsula Pelješac

50 km from Dubrovnik is 70 km long peninsula of Pelješac, Croatia's second largest peninsula. Connection with the mainland is a narrow promontory near the town of Ston, protected by fortress. But many tourists used the opportunity to directly transport by ferry to Trpanj or Orebič city from Makarska or Drvenik.

Vacation Orebić - peninsula Pelješac

High, macchia and pine wooded valley bordered by mountain ranges, where olives, figs, citruses and grapes are grown. The area is renowned for one of the best Croatian wines, variety Dingac. The peninsula is very different in nature, the beauty of untouched nature, crystal sea are experiencing almost on every step.

North side looks like Norway rather than the southern Adriatic, south coast, however, has a typical Mediterranean character. The Peljšsac although can bathe and engage in various water sports, but these options are much more modest. The most beautiful and very popular place is the town beach in Orebič, which is about 1.5 km long stretch beneath pine nuts. In Trpanj bathing is prohibited due to ferry traffic. Sand and gravel beaches are in the bay near Trstenik and Žuljane.

Pelješac is also a popular center for water sports, diving, windsurfing, cycling and hiking, vacation Orebic.

The largest portion, while the region is the most visited Orebic, which includes villages such as Viganj, Kuciste, Perna, Loviste, Mokalo, Trstenik, Dingac, Crkvice. City Orebic is the most important city on the peninsula, situated on the southern tip, below Mount St. Ilija, which offer the view of the whole island of Korčula and Pelješac. It is a lively port and tourist center with cafes, restaurants and shops. Trstenica has a beautiful sandy beach which is located right at the entrance to the city. Hotels have pebble beaches with stony parts and concreting areas, protected by pine forest.
