This medieval town is a fascinating operating position at the foot of the rocky massif. The three sides are bathed by the sea and surrounded by massive walls. The number and level of artistic monuments and ultimately Mediterranean climate, it all characterized Dubrovnik the part of UNESCO World Heritage.

The most important secular building is the prince's palace with an open courtyard, where in the summer held many concerts. The eastern and western parts of the city are protected by two fortresses: Lovrijenac and Revelin. Beautiful views of the city offers top of Srd which is directly over the city and can get there by lift.

To the west ofrom the old town is located overseas port of Gruz. On the west side begins peninsula Lapad, where the majority of luxury hotels with their own beaches are situated. Popular beach with fine sand is in the Sumartin. Of the other public beaches are well known beach in the Banjo and pebbled beach of Copacabana in Babin Kuk, where there is a spectacular view of the old town and the adjacent islands Elafit.
