The largest city of northern Dalmatia, is an important commercial metropolis, while important cultural city with all the major religious and Croatian sacral monuments. The historical center is located on a peninsula protected by the massive fortifications. At the southern end of town is located park of Vladimir Nazor with remains of the citadel, which now serves as the theater in nature.
