North Dalmatia > Božava - island Dugi Otok

Dugi Otok is the largest island in northern Dalmatia. East coast is relatively flat and is different from western, particularly where the southernmost part of the steep fall in the sea, up to 100 m high rock cliffs. On the island there are karts fields in winter, filled with water and become lakes. Southeast Gulf semiisland Telašćica is already on the brink of NP Kornati and in summer is a favourite destination for tours and diving.

Sports opportunities are offered in particular Božava where the diving school is situated. In some places on the island of Dugi Otok diving is prohibited. Places for swimming have access to the majority of water on rocks, cemented surfaces are somewhere, somewhere a small pebble beach. Sandy beach is in the Gulf Saharun south of Božava. Božava is a popular place for yachtsmen.
