Another of the Kvarner islands lies south of the island of Cres. The island is characterized by a diversity of northern and southern parts. North of the island is mountainous, the south coast is indented with a typical subtropical vegetation (pine forests, palm trees and oleanders). On the island you may encounter with dolphins, which makes this part of the sea highly protected. On the west of the island are interesting cave formations. The main tourist centers are the cities of Mali and Veli Losinj, which are suitable for allergy sufferers and asthmatics.

Vacation Veli Lošinj - island Lošinj
City of Mali Losinj is the largest town in the island and for its mild climate is favourite from times of the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph I. The city is bustling and popular for yacht marina, which lies around the old town. Best beach is located in the bay pee, which is also a nudist beach. The beaches are soft gravel, respectively gross sandy with the edges of concreting surfaces. Veli Beach sorrow-Suncani uvala is awarded "Blue Flag". During the season, the city held Lošinj cultural summer with concerts, exhibitions and theatrical performances.
In the southeastern part is less popular resort of Veli Losinj, with a long history of climate and spas. There are many parks with gardens. The parish church dominates the town, located at the port.
The beaches in town are mostly rocky and stony nature.
