Rab is one of the most beautiful and greenest Adriatic islands. Is covered by an extensive pine forests which protect the bay with sandy beaches sought. There is a few reasons why to visit the island: a climate for people suffering from respiratory and heart disease, a long tradition of tourism, diverse environment. Villages here are typical of the historical center with interesting sights. The main tourist centers are cities Rab, Barbat, Banjol, or Kampor.

The island is popular for cyclists because of several cycling routes, yachtsmen through the establishment of a marina in the town of Rab.

The main island is the resort town Rab with adjacent tourist settlements Barbat, Banjol and Suha Punta. The historic center with Venice style has a significant effect of preserved sea gate and the prince's palace, the cathedral of the Assumption and medieval streets. Popular beaches are located in the Suha Punta with pebbles, stones and rocks, which is awarded "Blue Flag". The city also provides a wide range of cultural facilities and entertainment.
