Kvarner > Cres - island Cres

Island Cres belongs to the outer belt Kvarner islands and is one of the largest Croatian island. Each part of the island is different. North of the island is largely mountainous, northeast is due to strong winds and barren inhospitable. Northwest coast is green, covered with forests. Sea around the island is well protected because of dolphins, which you can sometimes encounter. Most villages are located on the west coast, where towns of Cres and Martinscica, are also the only island resorts. Cres is characterized by the highest concentration of camps, many of which are tiny.

The administrative center of the island is the town of Cres, which is located in the bay and has preserved fortifications. The town has distinctive crooked and narrow streets. Beaches are located outside the main city center. They are mostly pebble-stones. Beach camp in forging is awarded "Blue Flag" and on its end is also a nudist beach. The city center is a popular for scuba divers and sailors. During the season, the city held a number of cultural and entertainment for tourists.
