Split, Croatia's second largest city, economic and cultural center of Dalmatia, an important transport hub for the Dalmatian coast, where they are available to all islands of central and southern Dalmatia, Italian and Greek coasts. Split also attracts tourists with its history and monuments. The historic core can be get from all sides through the gates in the city fortifications. 

The complex Diocletian's Palace, the best preserved evidence of Roman culture in Dalmatia with courtyard Peristyl, Cathedral of St. Domnio, Baptistery of St. John the Baptist and underground spaces, dominates the historical center of town. Among the other attractions there are the number of squares with restaurants, cafes and shops. Interesting is also the quayside promenade with revised landscaping and cafes overlooking the marina.

Beaches on the edge of town towards Trogir and Makarska Riviera are suitable for bathing.
