Omiš, a town situated 30 km south of Split is situated directly opposite the island of Brac. Characterization of the city is especially strange because the mouth of the river Cetina into the sea and the mountains Mosor above the town. Near the estuary there is a city port and the long pebble-sandy city beach. The city is also the starting point for tourists to the mountains with a beautiful canyon and the waterfalls, especially suitable for rafting.

Vacation Omiš
Canyons and rivers are famous equally famous film about Winnetou. The characteristic dominant of the town are remains of fortress Starigrad (Fortica), from which is a beautiful view of the estuary, the whole city and surroundings. Individual parts (Duće, Stanići, Nemira, Ruskamen, Lokva Rogoznica, Medići, Mimice, Marušići, Pisak) are broken down along the main coastal highway towards Split and the Makarska Riviera. They are smaller villages with characteristic broad gravel and pebble-sand beaches with gradual entry into the sea, suitable for families with children.
