ITALY

Italy is a country that stretches from the snow-white alpine hills to the sunny beaches of Sicily and it is one of the countries with the oldest tourist tradition. Saying the word "Italy" not only gives everyone imagines of a hot sun, sea and every sort of beach, but also spaghetti, pizza and local hospitality . Hot evenings allure you to sit and enjoy a glass of good wine. Italy is a country of many contrasts. From the north to the south stretches the Apennines with many valleys and lakes, and Italy is surrounded by four seas: Ligurian, Tyrrhenian, Adriatic and Ionian. Since the 18th century Italy has been visited by many travellers and explorers. Bus transport
The route and time of the departures and arrivals will be noted in your travel documents. We reserve the right to change this data in case of events that are not possible to foresee. All seats in bus are equal and it isn't possible to get a reservation for a certain seat. The first and last days of bus trips are supposed for transport, not for the actual holiday.

Self-arranged transport
Clients, who will arrange their transport themselves, are responsible for keeping the time of the beginning and the end of the holiday and also taking or not-taking advantages of the services provided. Exact dates and times of the beginning and the end of a holiday will be published in the travel instructions.

Accommodation
All accommodation arrangements on our offer were carefully chosen and our workers control them regularly throughout the season. Next to every accommodation unit is noted the official category into which were the accommodation units put and which correspondents with the international criteria. Our estimation doesn't have to resemble the international criteria, but it is the expression of our opinion about each capacity. Bathrooms are usually small and the shower is often next to the toilet. Room allocation is fully under the competence of the hotel and your travel agency (TA) doesn't have the opportunity of influencing it. Equipment, size and position of individual rooms in the same accommodation unit are not always the same. Arrangement corresponds with the Italian standard of holiday accommodation. Single rooms (even those with an additional payment) are usually smaller, worse situated and without a balcony. There may occur some cases of overbooking in the high season - overbooking of the arrangement made by their own mistake, when you have to be provided with an accommodation of the same, or even higher category. You won't find an absolute peace in the tourist areas, because to a holiday belongs also evening entertainment, bars, discos and nightclubs, which may be noisy. The time before and after the high season brings not only price advantages but also the fact, that some of the accommodation arrangements and services are limited or completely closed.

Images
Published pictures are mainly of an illustrator character, because it is not possible to show all kinds of accommodation. Accommodation arrangements, rooms and apartments correspond with the type and description in the catalogue.

Beaches
Information about the distance of the accommodation arrangement from the beach is only informative. Local inhabitants have also access to the beaches and they may occur louder than what we are used to. "Beach service" means the renting of 1 sun parasol and 2 deckchairs or beach seats on the beach. The beach service, unless stated otherwise, is for additional payment and is paid in the place. When the beach service is included in the trip price, there are 2 deckchairs or beach seats and 1 beach umbrella to your disposition regardless of the number of persons accommodated in the room or apartment.

Catering
Variety and type of the food is given by the tradition of the local kitchen and category of the accommodation arrangement. There is continental breakfast in Italy, unless stated otherwise. Continental breakfast consists of hot drink (coffee, tea), white baking or cracker, butter, marmalade and sometimes honey. Widen continental breakfast are enriched with salami, cheese or eggs. Italian breakfast is very simple, because there are shortly followed by lunch. Catering in the form of buffet tables means free combination of the menu corresponding with the hotel category. Served dinners (and lunches) are with an attendance and dinners in the form of menu offer a choice of a number of menus (the order is usually made in one day advance), sometimes salad and dessert in the form of a buffet. Drinks to go with the dinner are never included in the price of the dinner, unless stated otherwise. In case of accommodation offering a possibility of cooking oneself, there is a small kitchen or only a kitchenette that is equipped with a fridge (which may be without a freezer box) and two-hotplate cooker or a gas cooker. Kitchen equipment consists of basic dishes and therefore you can't expect a fully equipped kitchen (there might be missing e.g. tin opener or the dishes may not be in sufficient amounts).

We wish you a good journey and a pleasant and unspoilt holiday.
