Tipy on výlety:
Aquileia - a small town, behind the dam that connects Grado with the mainland. During the reign of Ceasar Augustus the town was an important port and since the 3rd century it had been a regional centre for the whole region. It lost its importance after the departure of the church princes to Grado. You can find Roman excavations and a pretty early-Christian basilica, inside you can admire a mosaic floor from the 4th century.
Cividale - this town lies about 70 km from Grado and there are the most important artefacts and monuments of the Longobardian period.
Palmanova - this is an admirable example of Renaissance architecture.
